The Chess tournament of the 2nd Ukrainian Summer Sport Games took place in Alushta, Ukraine, May 20-26.
The Ukrainian Sport Games is a competition between regions, organized once in
four years.
This year the team from the Lugansk Region (headed by GMs
Shneider, Areshchenko and Kuzmin) won the men's tournament, while the
Kherson Region team (WGMs Zhukova and Gaponenko) emerged victorious in the women's tournament.
