The Dutch Championship was held in Venlo for the first time, as part of the centenary celebrations of the Venlose Chess Club. Sixteen players contested a knockout tournament in the historic chapel of Stadsherberg Ald Weishoes. Defending champion Max Warmerdam was eliminated in the first round by Liam Vrolijk. Jorden van Foreest defeated Loek van Wely in the final to win his second national title. |
