Dear Ruslan,
Hello to you! I'm Eddie Frawley from the USA.
I want to tell you that I think you're the greatest player in the world! I love the way you play chess, your moves are so wonderful, and your style, is so beautiful to see.
I have been following your games in the Fide Championship, and this message comes to you on your rest day, after that great victory you had over Svidler yesterday. Your move 16...Re4, just about blew me away!! I couldn't see why you were going to give up the exchange sacrifice? It was too deep for me to understand, but it was awesome as I saw how you went on to win the endgame, with your Queen against his two Rooks! A very beautiful game!
I hope you go on to win this match versus Svidler, and then go on to beat whoever you face in the final, whether you play Anand or Ivanchuk. I want you to be the NEW Fide Champion!! You don't know how badly I want you to be the new Champion, and after that I hope you whip Kramnik's ass too!
Best of luck, and may God bless you!
Sincerely, your greatest fan, Eddie Frawley

My congratulations to the new World Chess Champion!!!
Now I feel like a foreteller.
10 years ago in the so-called Alekhine Memorial in Makeevka in the Donetsk Region Championship I've told 9-year boy Ruslan that he will go very far in chess, because I was amazed by his game after he won a game against me being 3 years younger. To say the truth, I couldn't imagine at that moment how far he will go! Several years later I went to Israel, and from here year after year I'm watching how my predictions come true.
Well done, Ruslan!
There are a lot of your fans here in Israel, and all of us wish you good luck in your future games!
Yours sincerely,
Leonid Bolshinsky

I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate you on winning the World Chess Championship. I've played over lots of your games and I hope to learn something from them. I don't know you personally, but I'm very proud of your achievements at such an early age. I wish you the very best in your chess career and in your personal endeavers. I managed to get Garry Kasparov's autograph at a computer store in New York City, and I sincerely hope to get yours one day in the near future.

Congratulations on your win in the FIDE championship. Good luck in Linares. What do you feel your chances are to win the tournament ahead of the strong field of GM's? What do you think of the new time controls? Do you prefer clasical time controls?
