Tournament Review

The 2nd US Chess Championship was held in New York from 2 to 24 April 1938. Samuel Reshevsky won with 13/16, with Reuben Fine second (12/16) and Albert Simonson third (11/16).

Surviving game score collection is incomplete, but round-by-round and final score references preserve the table results. For this reason, standings and event metadata are sourced from report pages, while game-file coverage remains partial.
