In the last days of 1955 and the first of 1956, the Donner-Euwe match follows, on the basis of the right to a rematch that Euwe was granted prior to the 1956 tournament. At the offices of the Het Binnenhof newspaper in The Hague, Euwe easily defeats his young rival. Euwe wins convincingly against Donner 7-3 (+4, =6). The match is Euwe's last appearance in the context of the Dutch Championship. |
