14th European Club Cup 1998 

The drawing of lots for the preliminary rounds of the 14th European Club Cup was executed by Prof. Kurt Jungwirth, Continental President for Europe, and Werner Stubenvoll, Tournament Director, on June 3rd, 1998 in Graz, Austria, in presence of Mrs. Grete Katholnig, board member of the Austrian Chess Federation.

If any team withdraws after the drawing of lots according the regulations for the European Club Cup, FIDE Handbook D IV.01, pt 5.1, it has to pay the penalty fee of 1000 Swiss Francs.

The final tournament will be organized by Chess Club "Ladia" Azov, Russia, from November 26th - 30th 1998.
