Data notes: Sorab Basel and Biel withdrew after the season for financial reasons. Sorab entered the third league and Biel Nationalliga B. Under the revised regulations, Riehen and Schwarz-Weiss Bern retained their Nationalliga A places. Biel and Winterthur shared sixth place. Anti-doping rules: Nationalliga A players were required to submit a signed anti-doping declaration. Fielding a player without that declaration, or a player suspended for doping, counted as fielding an ineligible player. A doping violation or refusal of a post-game test resulted in loss of the game, exclusion of that game from Elo rating and adjustment of the team score. If two or more players of one team were found to have doped, the team lost the match regardless of the other results, while the board points of unaffected players remained valid.
Accessibility: clubs were responsible for selecting accessible playing venues and discussing individual access requirements with players, including access to the playing room and toilets, suitable tables and lifts where needed. An alternative venue could be arranged where necessary.
