Warsaw 1935

  • Nothing else of major importance seems to be missing ;)
  • Dake-Cranston is also Dake-de Burca in Litmanowicz

Munich 1936

  • Many games are missing.
  • Unknown venue.
  • Unknown name of head referee.
  • Unknown best game prize.

Stockholm 1937

  • Many games are missing.
  • Unknown name of head referee.
  • Unknown best game prize.
  • Cozens, who wrote a book about 1937 event is inconsistent here and there. E. g. he annotates alleged Foltys-Gulbrandssen (CZE-NOR) game taken from Czechoslovak's chapter of his book though apparently it was Kavlie-Jorgensen who played with black pieces, not only because other, independed sources ascribe him extra game but also because Cozens himself does this at Norway's pages! Or maybe I am wrong?

Buenos Aires 1939

  • Unknown name of head referee.
  • Unknown clock routine.

Dubrovnik 1950

  • Unknown venue.
  • Unknown name of head referee.
  • Unknown best game prize.

Helsinki 1952

  • Unknown venue.
  • Unknown name of head referee.
  • The Helsinki pairings of those matches, who were played twice (preliminaries+finals) were recovered with full precision, but still this is handwork. If anyone has access to official bulletins I'd like him to scann through team pages and check if board-by-board pairings are correct.

Amsterdam 1954

  • The Dutchbase database dupes Golombek-Sandor (ENG-HUN) game (extra version covers first moves and then adds some more). The problem is, they did not play a revenge in the final group. So what do those extra moves mean, which version is true?
  • Missing notation of the following games: Weichselbaumer-Kovacs (SAA-AUT) and Zita-Johansson (CSR-NOR).

Moscow 1956

  • Nothing! Thanks to Mark Commiskey for help.

Munich 1958

  • Nothing! Thanks to Mark Commiskey for help.

Leipzig 1960

  • Apparently nothing is missing! Thx to Detlef Döll for his perfect work.

Varna 1962

  • Nothing! Thanks to Mark Commiskey for help.

Tel Aviv 1964

  • Unknown timetable.
  • Reilly-Fred (IRL-FIN) was scored 0-1 though judging from the final position game seems to be a draw (equal material and threefold repetition).
  • Foldeak gives Mora one draw less and Menvielle one draw more than ChessBase (they both played for Spain). I don't know who is right and which game is vague, if any.
  • Gonzales-Radovici (ROM-PAR, qual. group 5) and Viner-Tejada (AUS-COL, qual. group 5, round 1) have reversed colours in ChessBase that one might conclude from standard board-by-board pairing table.

Havana 1966

  • Everything seems to be OK! Great thanks to Dennis Leong for help.

Lugano 1968

  • Everything seems to be OK! Great thanks to Dennis Leong for help.

Siegen 1970

  • Following game notations are missing: Gligoric-Penrose (YUG-ENG, qual. group 2), Sanz-Bahtiar (AND-INA, qual. group 2), Ribeiro-Bonner (POR-SCO, qual. group 5)

Skopje 1972

  • 36 game notations are missing.

Nice 1974

  • Almost half of the games are missing!
  • Final E timetable is missing.
  • Perhaps some GM and IM titles are missing.
  • There are certain controvercies about Mongolia-Jordan match. All the games were put in the bulletin. Apparently board order for Jordania is contradictory to their official line-up. Bulletins games are: Al Mallah-Ujtumen 0-1, Lhagva-Hamam 1-0, Sanoseyan-Gongazabar 0-1, Myagmarsuren-Arafat 0-1.
  • Mystery of Tabane-Hamada game. There is notation for the game and obviously white won. On the other hand official crosstable grant Hamada a win, and, since Japan scored 1½ point in this match someone must have won those points. Maybe game notation is wrong. Maybe it is OK, any another Japanese player won his game. But who?
  • Castro Rojas-Liberzon (COL-ISR, final B). There are 32 moves available and White has clear advantage. Did White accept draw offer at move 32 or some moves are missing?

Haifa 1976

  • Reliable data on titles (IMs, GMs) missing.
  • Head Referee and Best Game Prize data missing.
  • Missing games: Rivas (BOL)-Guijarro (AND) 1-0 in round 6; Deraz (GUA)-Rivera (HON) ½-½ in round 5.

Buenos Aires 1978

  • Team Peru results for 1st and 2nd reserve board do not match: Palaez Contti 2½/7 and Robbiano Taboada 5½/10.
  • Team Faroe Islands results for 1st and 2nd board do not match: Jacobsen 2½/10 and Apol 6½/12.
  • Team United Arab Emirates results for 2nd and 2nd reserve board do not match: Saleh 3/9 and Zainal 2½/9.
  • Some data claim de Leon player at #1 for Guatemala in 3rd or 9th round.

La Valletta 1980

  • KEN pairings 14th round
  • GHA pairings #4 round 6 and 12 (book vs MB)

Thessaloniki 1988

  • How many games did in fact China's 2nd res. play?
  • India-Japan IS a problem on Indian side. What was the roster and pairing?
  • Abu Chamala (PLE) - Al Khateeb (QAT) originally 1-0, changed to 1/2-1/2, which is right?
  • PLE-MNC boards 3 i 4 were scored 0-2, 2-0 was logical here, what's the clue?
